Our first day of activity centred around Disney's Animal Kingdom. What a blast...Caleb is all about animals so it was a great place to start. Lineups for rides were pretty much non-existant...I think we waited maybe 5-10 minutes at the most .
The first ride we went on was "Jungle Safari"... a two week foray through Africa where we saw rhino's, elephants, lions, etc. and even chased some ivory poachers into the hand of waiting park rangers.
Caleb still thinks we really were chasing real poachers ! What a guy !
They had to cut the 2 week safari short which was a good thing since we were only in Animal Kingdom one day and had lots of other stuff to see.
Of course there's more to Animal Kingdom than just animals...everybody loved the Primeval Whirl roller coaster that spun you around while rolling up & down the track.
Caleb and Grandpa Seaman (right) look like they're having a great time ! I'm right of the frame snapping pic after pic hoping at least one turns out. Bingo !
Some of the characters were lined up as we left and Caleb was more than happy to get some pics...Thomas on the other hand is notably absent. He wasn't a big fan of the characters.
